Melkon’s story is the foundation of GUARDEX Fire. After five and a half years as a bus driver and a stint at NatWest Bank, he pivoted to electrical works in 2018, igniting a new career path.
While working part-time as a delivery driver for Ocado, he earned City & Guilds Levels 2 and 3 in Electrical Installation in 2019, alongside ECS, CSCS, and IPAF (3a & 3b) certifications. His journey included roles as an electrician’s mate, assisting with the DoubleTree Hilton lighting upgrade, and teaching at BUILD Construction College in Hayes.
